Stethoscope is a TAMS-UNT wide medical humanities magazine that is a way to bridge the humanities and the sciences, two fascinating but often segregated disciplines. This is the third edition of this magazine that offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get the experience of being featured in a medical publication and receive feedback from judges who are medical professionals. Additionally, we will hold a Launch Party in January that allows authors to present their work to the TAMS community and hear from the distinguished judges.
INTERESTED IN BEING PUBLISHED?
All of our pieces are intended to answer the question: What does the future of medicine look like to you? There are many aspects of medicine, and many ways to interpret this question. Your outlook on medicine’s future can focus on the big picture of an entire industry or a specific technological advancement. You can discuss the paths we can take to solve current medical issues, the goals we should set, or crises that may arise in the future. Your answers to this question can take many forms: a piece on bioprinting or artificial intelligence is just as welcome as a personal narrative about a disease or shadowing.
